Poorly Mapped Equator

number two Officially today Im taking spanish lessons for three hours. I am a complete handicap and i feel like an ignorant dick for using faulty sign language. yesturday my cab driver got mega annoyed because i couldnt decifer that cold means frio and that dormir means sleep.... my only response was soy de canada.... i think he got confused when i asked him where the bathroom was.... thanks brandy¡¡¡ He also dropped me off about twelve blocks from my hostel and i almost kicked his cab in the wheel. Thank god it only cost a dollar fifty. Speaking of loot.... my fifty dollar bills are being used as bookmarks... im having troubles breaking up tens.

Actual Equator

I went to the equator. Got a bastard of a burn. had to get some crema solar spf 60 and now im hiding from the sun. i look fusia pink in comparison to all the golden bronzed equadorians.

Shit.... my internets almost up.... hang on.. need more time.

Today after spanish lessons im going to otovala. theres these wicked markets there where i hopefully will find more junk to stash in my parents basement until im no longer homeless.

oh.... going to the jungle on sunday. i have a five day tour booked waaaaay up near the border to columbia, i know you told me to stay away from there anya, but since when do i think a stupid ideas actually stupid¿ The plan is to make way to this jungle town called Lago Agrio, im going with an aussie soldier and an english girl. Theres a bunch of wierd rules like dont pee in the water coz a penis fish will make a nest of my reproductive tract... and pack light coz we are carrying a canoe over our heads for over an hour... pffft. Both of those are making me dizzy. I wont be able to write for almost a whole week unless the native people figured out a way to latch onto wireless.

Telephones are hard to come by. I havent even seen a single payphone yet. I saw an internet cafe with some phones, but i figure that you dont need my lullabies to get to bed quite yet.

oh god, walking down the street in quito is quite the experience. so many wierdos honking their horns, whistling and clicking their tounges.... i had to look up caliente, te quiero, cachonda and mi amor... i think im going to try and grow a mustache. i didnt know that fusia pink was such an attractive skin color.
